Shree Sunkoshi Basic School was opened on 8th May 2008. Funding for the school was donated by HSBC bank and in particular Andy Collins, regional manager of HSBC based in Preston. The amount raised to build the school was raised at a charity ball held in Manchester in which DCWC Nepal was fortunate enough to be one of the recipients. The school was opened by the members of the Everest base camp trek 2008.
