Baikalpik Basic School was opened on 3rd August 2010. The funding for this school was raised by the very kind children of The Arnewood School and Carisbrooke High School and was coordinated by teacher Mike Gough. The children raised the money required by doing many different fund raising activities giving up much of their own personal time do this. The school was opened by a selection of the students themselves.
